3. Our second term reader- The Canterville Ghost and Other Stories by Oscar Wilde - is available to buy in the office
for €6.
4. I will return your Reader work during the speaking exam or when we return to have class on the 24th/25th of February.

The work for this new Reader has to be completed and given to me on the 18th and 19th of March. Please take advantage of these 2 weeks without class to complete the work on the new Reader.

1. Please decide who your partner is for the Speaking exam before you write your name on the list.

2.On the noticeboard outside my classroom, there is a list for your class to write your name and your partner's name on a chosen date, day and time. Remember you CANNOT write only your name on the list, you must know your partner before writing your name.

3. If you cannot come to class to put your name on the list, please ask a 'Study Buddy' to do it for you.

4. If you do not have a partner, tell me in class and we will find you a partner. Or if you are not in class, leave a comment in the Blog here to tell me.

Intermediate 1 Extra Post-Reading Activities...



Here are some more choices for the Post-reading activities...


1. Draw/Design/Illustrate/Paint etc a poster for the book to promote it. Choose a slogan and images from the book that you think capture the essence of the book.

2. Make a collage of 6 imagess/drawings etc of the book that best tell the story.

3. Imagine the book is going to be turned into a film and decide what actors and actresses are going to play each role - give reason for your choices and illustrate with drawings/images etc.

4. Write a poem based on the story. If you want to, include illustration.

5. Invent a dialogue between two of the characters in the story.
